Walter has been back out with Mr. Mellencamp, taking care of Dane Clarke and managing the stage. We've been fortunate enough to be involved in new records by The Gaslight Anthem, O.A.R, Evanescence, Dead Confederate, Kings Destroy, Milton, Esperanza Spalding, and Kitchie Kitchie Ki Me O. The latest project we just finished was the new Bayside record with Chris Guglielmo on drums who is without question, one of the best drummers in rock. The band enlisted the always amazing Gil Norton (Pixies, Foo Fighters) to produce the record. Do yourself a favor and run out and see these guys live at the first chance you get.
Thank you all for your continued support. Great players, crew, and Starland staff. Thanks to everyone involved for making that fun.

From there we started work on the new Bon Jovi record, this time with Tico Torres again behind the kit. Enjoyable as always.

Around the same time, producer Michael Barbiero brought us in to tech the cast recording for the Tony nominated broadway musical Rock of Ages. Jon Weber, who is the onstage drummer for the production also tracked the record. Anyone not familiar with his playing should jump on any opportunity to see this guy live. He can play anything. One of the most consistent hitting, best sounding drummers we have ever had the priviledge of working with. Again, thank you to everyone involved in that session. Great time had by all.

Most recently we were brought in to set up a kit and tech a session for the great John Blackwell, most noted for his playing with Prince and Justin Timberlake. On this particular session he was supporting the unbelievably talented bass player,Esperanza Spalding. Could not have enjoyed being a part of this session more than we did and there are rumours of it continuing again in August which we greatly anticipate.

Moving forward, we are once again heading out to the beautiful Barbershop Studios in Lake Hapatcong, New Jersey where we will once again be supplying drums and teching for Kenny Aronoff. I wont go on and on about this other than to say it will be a priviledge as always to be a part of this session.

So there you have it. A little insight as to what we've been up to. Hope to continue improving the website over time and, who knows, maybe even thow in a snazzy photo or two.

Thanks for the continued support!

DD

Demon Drums 2.0

We have been doing a little house cleaning at the shop and here on the site.
